Happy holidays, and TTFN

This blog has been dwindling into nothingness pretty much since my second child was born over a year ago. I've resigned myself to the fact that I can't raise two young children, work as hard as I need to, keep the house from falling apart, and have anytime for my husband or for myself and deal with the blog.

This isn't a permanent goodbye, so if you have me on Bloglines, you may be alerted now and again to a new post. I'll still try to keep reading your posts (although as you can probably guess, since my blog-writing time has vanished, my blog-reading time is pretty much nonexistent as well).

So in case I don't post again before then: Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, and _______ Festivus. (I'm not sure what the proper word is--surely at least one of you actually "celebrates" it, so please let me know.)

Until the muse strikes again, here's a good ALB story: He has finally learned to enjoy a good bedtime read. But he's very, very picky.

"That's Not My Puppy"? Hand reaches out, closes book.

"Red Hat Green Hat"? Silly Daddy -- that's an afternoon book.

"Silly Dog"? Mmm-nnn.

Basically, it's "Bedtime Peekaboo" and "Dogs." That's it.

But then he goes right to sleep. A year ago, we would've considered that a miracle.

I don't celebrate it, but how about "Non-Fatal Festivus?"

Don't be a stranger down Brevity way. Still got weekly puzzles to solve and other things to shake your head at.

Oh, come now, you don't really need to sleep, do you? Couldn't you blog between 3 and 4 am?

You'll be missed, but I do have you on Bloglines. Happy whatever to you too.

All I've ever heard is Festivus, for the Rest of Us.

I still want you on my team for World Series of Pop Culture. I think you and I could kick a lot of ass.

Come back soon.

Dogs, the Dorling-Kinderly book? Curious Girl LOVES that one.

Happy holidays to all of you--and I'll perk up whenever my feedreader alerts me to a new post. Yours was the first blog I ever commented on, actually. So I'm glad it's not a permanent hiatus--whenever you feel like writing, we'll be out here.

Happy Holidays. I'm not cool enough to celebrate Festivus, but I wish I did. :)

As you know, I have a much less than prolific blog, so my advice for what it's worth is just post when you want to, even if it's only once a month, once every couple months...etc...(whenever *you* want) :)

Along with everyone else, I will echo that we are glad that you're not calling it quits permanently, but we all understand how time is at a premium. (Especially at this point of the year.)

We'll miss seeing you around the blogosphere, but we'll be here when you post again. Don't forget to come visit us at the Wednesday Whine.

May your whole angry family have a lovely, peaceful, and blessed holiday. May you get all you wish for, and may your 2008 be joyful and prosperous.
