Thank you, Nora Ephron...
...without whom I would have nothing clever to post on this day. (Seriously. I've planned this post for years now.)
* * * * * * * * * * * *
SALLY: (weeping) And I'm gonna be 40!
HARRY: When?
SALLY: Someday.
HARRY: In eight years.

Hope everyone else has a great day, too.

And you know what? Life gets better after 40 - so be happy!
Happy Birthday! (right?)
I had this conversation with my best friend in May when she hit 32.
OH! I can't beleive you did this! I turn 32 in October. I was gonna quote WHMS and everytthing. Now, just gonna have to link here.
Great minds or whatever...
Damn, you're old.
Happy Birthday, APL!
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!
Well, happy happy birthday!
Sorry I stole your 32-thunder, Butterflyfish!
Thanks for the b-day wishes, all. I figured everyone would be too busy reading HP today to comment!
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday!!!!
Next year, you can cite Middle of the Road, though you have two kids rather than one.
Hipy Papy Bithuthday!
At least, that is the message that Owl wrote to Eeyore, and I kind of like it better!
Happy birthday! Hope you had some good cake.
Ooh, Happy Birthday!!!!!!!! But hey, you're married, so you have the edge over Sally. (I think that was her main beef with growing older, that she hadn't found "the one" yet) ;-)
Nora Ephron has a book out called "I Feel Bad About My Neck." I flipped through a little bit in a bookstore, it looked good. Random observations from her about growing older, life in New York, etc.
I love that quote. I'm older than you, so I can't use that quote, and I wasn't blogging when I turned 32. I'm five days older than the sand in Jesus' shoes.
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday, dear APL. Better late than never.
Happy happy birthday to you!! I hope it was a lovely day. And great quote!
Happy birthday! 33 is just as fun.
Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great celebration.
See. I knew there was a reason I really like you. I'm two days behind and seven years ahead of you (does that make sense?), and I can tell you, birthdays are good all the way around. Even now that the Big One is less than a year away for me ...
And the rule in our house is: As long as there is birthday cake in the house, it is perfectly suitable (if not required) for breakfast.
Happy Belated Birthday!
Happy Birthday! Sorry I missed the day.
Happy belated birthday!
Hope you've already gone through your punk phase...Mayhem! Revolution! :-)
I know you turned 32, not 30, but I wanted to use a "NewsRadio" reference. I've got one for when you turn 36, too. ;-)
