Opposable thumbs would help

Continuing our household's tradition of the males having odd eating habits (Angry Boy prefering vegetables to almost everything else, NSAH enjoying black jellybeans), I offer this:

Small Dog loves edamame. If he could shell it himself, he'd be all set.

Muffin Man also loves edamame. I never thought a dog would like them though. So, do you shell them fast enough for him?

Why is enjoying black jellybeans weird? What I don't get are all the sour fruit flavored things out there. I'm not big on fruit flavors anyway, but why would I want gummies or Life Savers tasting like they were soaked in a 0.1 M hydrochloric acid bath?

Small Dog is not alone--our Small Dog is very happy when Lyra drops them on the floor. I buy them shelled, even though I think they are better unshelled, because I do not have the energy to shell them for a toddler.

Both my cats also like edamame - but I think they're happier with the salt factor than anything else.

Too funny. And I am with you on the black jelly beans!

Clearly Small Dog doesn't want that costco-sized bag of edamame being too inconveniently large in the freezer for too long. What a sweetie!

Hmm, maybe we should try edamame for Sam Dog. He's on a restricted diet in terms of grains, so there's not much he gets in the way of treats these days. (Okay, venison jerky, but even that gets old after a while.)

Haaaaaa! I didn't realize that you were in the same boat as me, all boys in the family! Now with Gabriel, I'm surrounded by 4 boys!
