My poor guy

Angry Boy (who has been asking that I call him "Mickey Mouse" or "Iceman" or "Will Turner," depending on his mood that day) has been diagnosed with strep ... which explains his high-as-hell fevers last night and today (he was up over 104 earlier today). He was apparently very brave at after-hours care when they drew blood. Poor little man.

He should be fine once he starts his course of antibiotics, but please keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't pass to ALB.

Aw, poor little guy. Best wishes to him, and to his germs staying away from ALB!

Mine are crossed too. I hope he feels better soon. Keep him away from the baby if you can, although the damage is likely done already.

Oh, the poor kid.

I hope you don't get it. Good luck!

Oh ack. Crossing everything that can be crossed. Which would be more than you would think. ;)

Hey, what's this headache, itchy throat and fatigue I'm feeling all of a sudden?

Thanks, all.

And NSAH, you are not allowed to be sick right now.

Poor kiddo! Keeping everything crossed that ALB doesn't get it. Or you or NSAH, either.

(Who are Iceman and Will Turner?)

Everything that can be crossed is crossed that it goes no farther than AB and that he gets better soon. Hugs!

Poor man! Are you nursing? That should ensure that the babe doesn't get it. Lots of popsicles for the man - you can get the sugarfee kind so you don't feel guilty and the sugar doesn't rip at his throat. I hope he heals soon.

Also...Jonas no longer wants to be called Toaster. Now he's back to Mr. Cottonball.

Ugh -- good luck to you ALL! Strep A hit our playgroup last week. Luckily (?) for us, I was in the hospital with premature labor so we missed it. Unluckily for us, there was no one around for playgroup this week! Everyone was still sick! Since we're both in the DC area, I bet it's just going around the Beltway.

Hope AB/Iceman feels better soon and ALB does NOT catch it!

Genevieve, Iceman is one of the X-Men (I swear I don't let AB watch any of that, but he picks it up anyway--earlier this year, he kept saying he was Wolverine), and Will Turner is Orlando Bloom's character in Pirates of the Carribbean (another movie AB hasn't watched).

Mieke, ALB is eating at "mom's diner," so I hope that will protect him. (And Jonas cracks me up! He's such a big boy now... but still silly.)

Whymommy, yeah, these things tend to circle the Beltway, don't they? Sorry you were in the hospital--hope everything's OK!

Oh, hope he's feeling better by now! Politica is just getting over strep, and it sucked for an adult. Must be must worse for a kid.

Aaaw, strep sucks.

And what about all those people who ate the dipped candy and brownies?

No one else has gotten strep, Blonde, so it's OK. (And AB's involvement in the baking was really limited to holding the nonpareils shaker over the dipped cookies.)
