No, Quinn, I'm sure you're not too cynical. I have wondered much the same.
To answer your question,

Didja all see that Foley's aide alerted Hastert's office to the problem over 2 years ago?
Yeah.
Apparently everyone in the States can "understand this scandal" (according to Talk of the Nation yesterday).
But the gutting of habeas corpus or the approval of torture or the misuse of intelligence to justify a pre-planned war against Saddam Hussein, those are all waaaaay too complicated.
Seems as if I need to get here much sooner to post a comment.

Much, much lower; my car uses a lot of gas.
About a nickel per gallon, I think.
What kills me is that I said to the guy I carpool with,
Huh, lower gas prices, must be an election coming up AND HE HADN'T EVEN THOUGHT OF THAT.
Grrr.
And I completely agree with Quinn.
Quite a bit lower. Although, I tend to agree with Quinn as well.
