YEs, taht does make me furious. And sad. And more furious.
Oh, geez I just read the second link. Well I'm proudly from Vermont (civil union) and Massachusetts (legal same sex marriage) so you know how I feel.
I do not understand (from a religious or secular perspective) why people are so threatened by same-sex marriage

Ohio already gutted its Bill of Rights when the awful ammendment overwhelmingly passed last year. It made me sick.
If one is to truly understand the threat we face from fundamentalist muslims, they need only look as far as the actions of our fundamentalist christians. Hate is Hate regardless of whether it is shrouded in the terrorist uniform of the day or a three piece brooks brothers suit.
It is a pity that those claiming to be christian continue to give Jesus a bad name.
The first paragraph says it all, doesn't it? Two similar applications approved, this one denied. Nice. I live in such a liberal town, sometimes I forget that the world around me hasn't caught up yet - I take equal rights for gay people very much for granted - it seems like a no brainer to me.
