The power of suggestion

A couple of days ago, I read this post over at Halloweenlover's place. May I direct your attention to the second paragraph. Have you read it? OK.

Tonight at the grocery store I bought a jar of these. And oh, are they good.

I maintain that I've always been susceptible to food suggestions and that it's not the pregnancy. Advertisers love me. I can eat a complete dinner but then see an ad on TV for fried chicken, and I will think, "That looks good, I could go for some of that." Honestly, it's a miracle I'm not 500 pounds.

The older I get, the more my appetite grows. One would think I was pregnant (both from the looks of it and from the amounts I can shovel in). Too bad I don't have that as an excuse! LOL

I developed an anti-olive thing during my second pregnancy and never quite got over it.

That said, I am a marketer's dream. The words "new" and/or "improved" just send off goofy signals in my brain.

Hope you're feeling well - and am surprised to see no Stanley Cup gloating! :)

Nah, not fair for me to gloat. Am I happy the Canes won it? Of course! But since they're not "my team" (that honor belongs to the Caps), I don't really have standing to gloat.

I'm the same way, although doubly so when pregnant. We could see a commercial for Chili's, and as soon as that baby back ribs song came on, I would be saying, "Honey, grab the keys. We're going to Chili's."

Heh heh! I loved the olives! I've been eating them every night!

Tonight we had pizza with pepperoncinis on it, and YUM!

I hope you are feeling better.

I love jalapeno olives. I could eat the whole jar. If I wasn't on a @^%&*! diet, I mean.

But... but, the whole jar's only 140 calories! That's a snack! It's not like when I eat a whole box of Fiddle Faddle. I thought olives were a great alternative to my usual junk.

Um, that sounds totally fabulous. I would eat a jalapeno on a rock if that was all that was available.
