Is this something I should be proud of?

I went to Whole Foods today and spent less than $100. Less than $90, in fact. And my purchase included two different vitamins (prenatal, and iron), which always jack up a grocery bill, regardless of where you shop. And with some of the food I bought, I made a great chicken dinner in our slow cooker. So hurray for me.

Whole Foods, Bed Bath & Beyond and Target are the $75 stores. They used to be the $50 stores, but time, inflation and the weak dollar have made them $75 stores.

Whole Foods is the repository of evil cheese, expensive tea, overpriced prepared stuff and (my downfall) the olive bar. How did you get off so cheaply, especially with the pricey vitamins?

The shopping I miss most about my old life is Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

We don't have a Whole Foods here in my uncultured corner of the South, but we DO have a Fresh Market. I really have to restrain myself in there. But, the almond butter always suks me in. :)

Being deprived of a Whole Foods I cannot properly comment, but I will assume that it is like most stores I visit. So, you did great! I cannot believe that you bought vitamins, too.

I concur with the other comments. Any trip to the grocery involving less than a $100 spend is a good trip. But, a trip to WHOLE FOODS with the bonus vitamins is just awesome. Worthy of celebration. Why don't you go BACK to Whole Foods and get some nice cheeses and wines to have you a celebration!

Wait.... Back to that whole "under $100" thing. Oh, and the pregnancy, too....
