Somebody get the President a dictionary

retroactive: adj.; extending in scope or effect to a prior time or to conditions that existed or originated in the past; especially: made effective as of a date prior to enactment, promulgation, or imposition

Bush told a news conference that he still wants investigators to seek warrants in many cases from a secret foreign intelligence surveillance court, as required by a 1978 federal law. But he said authorities should be able to act outside that framework when the government needs "to move quickly to detect" plotting of terrorism between people in the United States and abroad.

You see where I'm going with this? The FISA court can issue warrants retroactively. So telling Americans that you can't be bothered by adhering to the law because time is of the essence and you need to move quickly is a big fat lie.

Why do you hate America?

Every time you post a blog entry, the terrorists win.
