Head all better

Wow, you all are a no-nonsense bunch. Everyone telling me to see the doctor. Of course, as luck would have it, I didn't have a headache at all yesterday, so maybe your good thoughts have cured me. I know it wasn't that I simply had a less stressful day--I was up working till midnight (at home, not at the office).

Cool things people said to me yesterday:

"Have you lost weight?" --NSAH

(I haven't, but I was wearing a flattering shirt.)

"Good job." --a coworker whom I admire and whom I wish I were paired up with more often

"I make ... pineapples. I make ... milk. I like pears. I like cheese. I like peas. I like lettuce. I like eggs. I like toast. I like veg-ables." --Angry Boy, who was playing with our whisk, measuring spoons, and a bowl (I can't tell you all how excited I am that he's started to use the personal pronoun "I")

"Do you always refer to yourself in the third person?"

"Terry Armstrong is missing your point."

"You never say 'I'"

"Terry Armstrong is not conceited. Terry Armstrong uses the third person singular to give Terry Armstrong the proper distance and objectivity to talk about how truly brilliant Terry Armstrong is."

"No one can go through life without saying 'I' -- 'I pledge allegiance,' 'I solemnly swear,' 'I hate you Terry' ... when the minister asked 'Do you take this woman?' what did you say?"

"Terry Armstrong do."

"NO YOU DIDN'T!!!"

Momtothelady, when I asked him if he was a chef, he said: "Feedih chef!" (Swedish Chef)

My child is turning into a muppet.

That's it. Is it too early to arrange a marriage between your son and my daughter? I totally, totally heart AB!

what a cutie! Feedih Chef. That takes the cake. I can't wait til my little spawn starts to talk. He has one babbley-word that sounds kind of like "goat". And he'll say it over and over and over. "goat goat goat goat goat goat goat goat goat...". Sadly, there are no farm animals to be found.

with my luck, little spawn will be a math/science geek like his dad... which means he won't talk until he's 10, but his first words will be "pythagoran theorum". That'll be it until he's 16, at which point he might try his next word... "girls".

Glad you're feeling better APL. (Though, I would've said "no doctor needed". If you wait long enough, all pain goes away... or you die, and then there is no pain anyway. true though, that NSAH and AB do need you... and I would miss you.)

You know... does anyone else have trouble reading the code letters you have to type in to post? I mean, they're all squished and funky! why not just try sanskrit?

Oooh, AB and BB would make an adorable couple! She could say Ay wah woo and he could feed her vegetables. Adorable!

What HL said. Trust me, it's even funnier when you know what her spawn looks like and can picture the chubby little guy sitting there saying it. hahahahaha.

Gotta love AB thinking he's the Swedish Chef! If he starts saying "Bork, bork, bork!" you're in trouble. :)

It's oaky to have a kid who's a muppet, as long as he's not Elmo. :) Any one other than that is asking for trouble. :)
