One post before I get to work
Overheard when I turned off the shower yesterday morning:
NSAH: "Let's watch football, AB. Look, football on TV."
AB: "'Ristocats."
NSAH: "Football."
AB: "'Ristocats!"
NSAH: "Football!"
AB: "No football! 'Ristocats!"
NSAH wound up winning the argument through the key strategy of distraction: we gave AB his Aristocats book.
And a big "YAY!" for the start of football (pre-) season!

Another big yay for football season... Eagles preseason starts next week. Maybe sweater weather isn't so far away...
I'm with AB. I would have voted for the Aristocats.
In our house that argument goes:
"Look MM, Beauty and the Beast"
"Aladdin!"
"Bear in the Big Blue House?"
"Aladdin!"
"School House Rock."
"Aladdin!"
"Peter Pan."
"Aladdin!"
"Please honey, anything but [Fucking] Aladdin."
"ALADDIN!!!!!!"
"Play doh?"
"Okay!"
Me, AB and Jo(e). No football. And Liz made me HOWL.
But I love 'Ristocats!
Especially that song...
Everybody wants to be a cat
I think it's stuck in my head already.
I have seen one baseball game ALL SEASON, because the Preschool Ruler of the Universe insists on watching Thomas the Frickin' Tank Engine videos.
Grrrrr.
You're an Eagles fan, Lawmummy? Well, I guess it's still nice to have you here commenting... ;-)
Blonde, AB loves that song, and he sings it along with the movie (and along with the book, too).
My kids would be the same!
I'm with Jo(e) as I have just never gotten into football. Of course, how does AB feel about hockey?
I'm not into sports, probably because I'd rather be reading. I got *so* lucky that JF isn't a sports watcher, either.
I feel for liz -- when the Offspring was young, it was The Big Comfy Couch. I got SO sick of frickin' clowns. And, JF was just twisted enough to point out that "Loonette" couldn't be portraying a young girl much longer -- "Her hooters are getting too big for the costume." Thanks, hon.
RussianViolets, here's a hint: this is one of AB's favorite books.
I am quite concerned that my husband will turn my kids in crazed sports fans. It'll be the death of me.
AB is the cutest though. Has he seen All Dogs Go to Heaven? I love that movie.
