God, I love this show

My favorite Toad the Wet Sprocket song was used in "Scrubs" tonight! So this makes Colin Hay, Michael Penn, and TTWS that they've played. Yay.

If I weren't so busy memorizing "Home on the Range" by watching it every night with my boys, I'd love to watch "Scrubs." The few times I've seen it, it actually made me laugh out loud, which hasn't happened much with network TV since "Seinfeld" went off.

As I wrote to a friend just a little while ago, "Scrubs" has to be in my pantheon of all-time great TV comedies, along with "Seinfeld," "The Simpsons," "Family Guy," "NewsRadio," and "The Cosby Show" (pre-Olivia).

In my mind, "The Simpsons" doesn't count as network TV. It's some kind of strange, undeserved gift from a benevolent, mischevious Higher Being. Favorite Simpsons quote ever.

"Lisa: I think it's ironic that Dad saved the day while a slimmer man would have fallen to his death.

Bart: And I think it's ironic that for once Dad's butt prevented the
release of toxic gas."
